Vacant property is more attractive to vermin especially where there is a build-up of rubbish or fly-tipping. So it’s sensible to increase pest control measures if there is a risk to adjacent properties or food outlets etc. Infestations may escalate and become notified to the local authority who can issue an enforcement notice.
