Legionella – What are the risks of legionella in my void?

Legionella is a dangerous lung infection caused by inhaling infected water droplets. Water systems in voids are not run and operated normally and so levels of infection can rise which could be a hazard to new tenants. Secure Empty Property can flush and run water systems – hot, cold, shower and toilet – at each inspection to minimise this risk. We can also test for legionella and treat it as appropriate before the property is re-let.
