Burglary – What items are most at risk from burglars?

Voids are very attractive for burglary and theft is often seen as ‘victimless’. High-value items will be targeted including boilers, copper cylinders, pipework etc. which have a metal or re-sell value. The consequential damage of flooding often costs more than the loss of the item. Fixtures and fittings can also be attractive especially any architectural reclamation such as fireplaces. Again, making good the property costs more than the asset value once removed.
